Hi, and welcome to my little corner of the blogging world. I’m Emily, a 29 year old living in western New Jersey with my husband, Brett and our pitbull pup, Nala. I’m currently seven months pregnant, so there will be a new little face around here very soon.
Style & beauty has always held a prominent place in my life. As a little girl, I would put on “fashion shows” for my mom after every birthday to show off any new clothes I received. I would obsess over what the Olsen Twins were wearing, and try to mimic their outfits & hair styles.
That passion eventually led me to my career. I’ve spent the last eight years of my life working in the fashion industry in New York City. Nothing brings me more joy than doing a friend’s makeup or helping her pick out a dress for a big event. My heart honestly swells when a stranger compliments something I’m wearing. (Just ask my husband. Whenever I get a “I love your shoes” from someone, he just shakes his head at me because my whole face lights up with joy).
I’m hoping that with this blog, I can get that kind of happiness on an even bigger scale. I’ve found lots of inspiration via blogs over the years, and I can only hope that you find this as a place of inspiration as well. Thank you for coming along for the ride. I hope you enjoy.
